Living history

A visit to the Museum of Folk Traditions in Dietenheim, near Bruneck, brings history to life. A large open-air area contains farms and workshops as well as equipment from bygone eras that illustrate South Tyrol's way of life in centuries past. Visitors can for instance learn how bread was baked or sheep were shorn. The museum also stages numerous events to inspire children, who can view the farm animals or try and guess the identity of the Object of the Month.
